Traditional Git workflows and GitHub's underlying infrastructure were designed around human operational cycles: an engineer cuts a branch, writes code, and submits a pull request perhaps a couple of times per shift. When dozens of autonomous bots simultaneously access a repository—continuously generating micro-edits—the legacy stack quickly bogs down in processing queues and locks.

At this stage, Origin's feature set remains minimalist. It currently lacks advanced automatic merge-conflict resolution or sophisticated agent-swarm orchestration. However, the developers built in native Vercel previews for every agent-generated PR from day one, streamlining live review workflows.

Origin's debut signals a tectonic shift across the industry: software development infrastructure is inevitably retooling for machine-level speeds, leaving legacy conventions and traditional hubs like GitHub as the primary bottleneck.
