Terms of Use

Draft of 6 October 2026, written from how the service actually works rather than from a template. It must be reviewed by a lawyer before registration opens to the public.

1. What Edidesk is

Edidesk is a service that sets up a dedicated instance of the Newsroom editorial system for you. The Newsroom collects stories from the sources you specify, selects, writes, fact-checks and publishes them on the platforms you connect. The service is provided by The Value Engineering (“we”).

2. Your workspace

When you register, you create a workspace. A workspace has its own instance of the system, its own database and its own settings. You are the owner of the workspace and are responsible for how it is configured and for what is published from it.

3. Models and usage

The system runs on language models from third-party providers (Google, OpenAI, Anthropic) through the Edidesk model gateway. By default, Edidesk connects the models using its own keys; during the trial period, usage is limited by a daily cap. In a test workspace you may use your own keys: you enter them on the workspace card and pay the provider at its prices; we are not responsible for those bills. Usage is recorded for every call — tokens and cost at the provider’s price list — and is shown in the workspace usage details. This is our own record, reconciled with the providers’ invoices; it is not the providers’ invoice.

4. Sources and content

You choose the sources yourself and are responsible for having the right to use their material. The system writes its own texts based on the sources and checks facts, but the final decision to publish is yours: the platforms of a new workspace are turned off until you turn them on. Texts written by the system in your workspace belong to you.

5. What is not allowed

  • using the service for spam, disinformation, incitement of hatred or anything else prohibited by law;
  • reselling access to a workspace without our consent;
  • attempting to access other people’s workspaces or the service infrastructure.

6. Availability and data

We aim to keep the service available, take daily copies of workspace data and notify the owner when an instance is not working properly. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. At any time you can download your whole workspace as a single archive and delete it; after deletion the data is erased together with its volume and cannot be restored.

7. Changes and termination

We may change the service and these terms after notifying you at the email address you registered with. We may suspend a workspace for a breach of these terms or for non-payment if the plan is paid — with notice and the opportunity to take your data.
